There are so many roads in Door County posted as “private drive” that my wife and I, as a private joke, just started referring to any little trail, path, etc as a private drive. Funny thing is that this little trail could probably be considered a “private drive” for the local residence. As I was painting, a man in his golf cart drove past and onto this extremely rough, gravel trail. As he disappeared around the bend, we could hear his clubs loudly rattling and see the tip of his cart’s flag bobbing along. What we thought was just a crude path turned out to be a private shortcut to the Orchard Golf Course. Sunny, cool morning with temperatures in the low 60s.
