The Story
Bee Tree Park, St. Louis, MO
(10:00 - 1:15)
Painting the forsythia in Bee Tree Park has become a yearly tradition for me. It makes for an easy decision of what to paint, plus after months of painting winter grays and browns they are a wonderful reintroduction to bright, spring colors. And I wasn’t the only painter focused on these yellow beauties, at least ten other painters were also trying to capture them on canvas. To anyone that ventured by, I’m sure we resembled a swarm of color hungry, busy bees. At least that’s what I felt like dotting about my canvas from bloom to bloom with my yellow loaded, paint brush. Windy with temps in the mid 50s.
