The Story

Creve Coeur Memorial Park,
Maryland Heights, MO

( 7:30 - 7:45 )

When driving out to the trailhead, there were a few small clouds lingering in the sky and I was hoping for any kind of interesting sunset to paint. However, by the time I had parked and set up my easel, all of the clouds had vanished and I was left staring at a very plain sky. Feeling disappointed, I slowly started to pack up when a little glimmer of color began to appear on the horizon. As the sun fell closer to the prairie grasses I saw potential and grabbed my brushes. When the sun kissed the ground I knew I had hooked into a great little scene. Like the clouds, my disappointment disappeared.

it means the artist was getting
very wet."
