The Story

Faust Park, Chesterfield, MO
(12:15 - 1:00)

My wife and I were out for a drive when it started to snow big wet flakes. We were close to Faust Park and not wanting to waste the opportunity to paint some more March snow, I pulled into the park and quickly drove to the parking lot below the Music School. However, I wasn’t quick enough because by the time we had parked, the snow stopped falling. A little disappointed, I set up my easel anyway because the hazy conditions created a nice scene that I thought was still paintable. I blocked in my shapes - and then it began to snow. Temperatures in the low 30s.

u see snow in the painting,
it means the artist was standing
in snow.
If you see rain in the painting,
it means the artist was getting
very wet."
