The Story

Castlewood Park, Ballwin, MO
( 10:00 - 12:30)

This was our first snow of the year. It wasn’t much. However, being more of a glass half-full instead of a half-empty kind of guy, I was thankful for the amount that had fallen. Again, it wasn’t much, but it was amazing how much influence this small dusting of snow had on the visual impact of the landscape. It revealed within the scenery definition of shapes, separations of passages and enhanced patterns. It turned an otherwise dull creek bank into a scene worth capturing on canvas and was proof that little things can create big differences. Temps in the upper teens to lower 20s, overcast skies.

it means the artist was getting
very wet."
