The Story

Faust Park, Chesterfield, MO
( 2:30 - 3:00 )

I’m a sucker when it comes to thistles and bees. It brings out the painter in me. Seeing the wonderful combination of yellow, saddle back bees hovering around purple blooms makes me want to break out the brushes. Particularly on a day like this one when the temperature maxed out in the mid 80s and a calm breeze made it feel far cooler. It was such a nice afternoon - I found shade, I found thistle and I found bees. My only complaint was completing the painting too fast, because while signing the painting I almost felt like I had eaten a great piece of pie too quickly, instead of savoring it.

it means the artist was getting
