A fitting title for this painting could be “The Prairie’s Edge.” Depending on the direction you’re walking, it’s a worn path where Cliff Cave’s prairie begins or ends. From my vantage point, I liked the sense of mystery it could hold to someone not familiar with the area or just the simple concept of What’s beyond this hill? I could imagine the early settlers as they traveled towards their destination, approaching many of these similar scenes and asking themselves that very same question. What’s beyond this hill? Windy day with overcast skies,
