The Story

Creve Coeur Memorial Park,
Maryland Heights, MO
( 7:45 - 8:15 )

I had my fingers crossed, hoping that a bit of color would appear between the horizon and the dark cloud bank. I must have had them crossed extremely tight because the intense salmon color that shined through the base of the clouds was spectacular. It exceeded my expectations and made me briefly reconsider the true validity of crossing one’s fingers. The light show was a fleeting effect, but it hung around long enough for me to capture it on canvas and immortalized it for future generations to enjoy. I have my fingers crossed really tight for that one as well. Upper 70s with a consistent mild wind.
