It started out as another, “I can’t paint, this canvas is jinxed, what am I doing wrong” kind of day. The rain and constant wind certainly didn’t help. Nothing I tried worked. Even my basic block-ins left me doubting the success of each attempt. Until, I half-heartedly sketched in this composition. I saw a glimmer of hope. As the painting progressed, so did my optimism. Even after lunch I saw the potential it possessed. The 32 degree, rainy and windy setting no longer reflected my mood and when I signed the painting, everything was right with the world. It’s amazing what a good painting can accomplish.
