The Story

The Pinnacles, Sturgeon, MO

( 10:30 - 2:00 )

I was in Columbia, MO for several reasons; to paint with a friend, to visit and paint some of the local prairies and to visit the Boone County Historical Museum. Painting with Brian Sindler, a very talented landscape painter and musician, was a great way to spend the afternoon. We met at the Pinnacles but preferred this small section of prairie rehab that was right off the highway. We talked, talked, painted, talked, talked and painted. I met a number of his friends (he was in town for a class reunion) and I talked and visited with them. They were a good group of people. I could tell by the way they all complimented my painting. Temps reached into the low 60s.

"If yo
u see snow in the painting,
it means the artist was standing
in snow.
If you see rain in the painting,
it means the artist was getting
very wet."
