Without tradition, art is a flock of sheep without a shepherd. Without innovation, it is a corpse.
Winston Churchill

Before I became a full time artists, I was a graphic designer/illustrator for 20 years. One of the tools I used to produce my images during that time was Adobe Illustrator, a vector based program. After a six year absence from its use I was given an opportunity that revived my interest in its abilities and innovations. These limited edition prints are what followed that rediscovery.

The graphic prints I create are reminiscent of the stone lithographs, block prints or silkscreens produced during the Arts & Crafts and Art Deco movements. Images by Ludwig Hohlwein, Gustave Baumann and the WPA posters, particularly the National Parks series from 1938-1941, are works I greatly admire.

My prints are based on or inspired by my plein air paintings. And because these two mediums are so completely different, I'm curious and eager to see how I interpret my own work from oil to graphic and from working outdoors to working in front of a desk.

Each 24 x 36 print is limited to only 12 editions. The graphic prints are produced by an Epson Stylus Pro 7880, twelve color ink jet and are printed on an enhanced matte paper.
