What you'll need to bring

Easel:
Any light-weight portable easel will do. We’ll move around a lot so portability is a must.

Brushes:
Bring at least 3 flats. Sizes no. 2, 6 and 10 are recommended. Also a small liner brush is handy.

Paints:
Please bring tubes of these paints: titanium white, ultramarine blue, cadmium red (Daler Rowney Georgian hue), cadmium yellow (Daler Rowney Georgian hue) and transparent red oxide. These are the only colors you need for this workshop. You will learn the benefits of using this limited palette. (P.S. don’t try to mix water soluble oils with regular oils).

Palette:
Minimum size 11x14. Wood, glass or plastic are fine but please: NO paper palettes.

Painting panels:
Any type will do, and bring at least ten panels. Suggest 6x8 or 8x10. For your “masterpiece” on the last day, you can bring a larger panel and also bring a frame to fit.

Other:
Small sketch pad and pencil (important); sunscreen and bug spray; bottled water, odorless thinner, paper towels (suggest Viva), metal palette knife, and trash bags (plastic grocery bags).
