Sunday, February 15, 2009 (10:45 - 2:00) Rock Springs Park, O'Fallon, IL no longer available
As the old saying goes, "When in Rock Springs, paint the spring." Ok, so it isn't an old saying but it is fitting, because what I really wanted to paint was a scene that people familiar with the area would recognize. Therefore, the small spring with its muted color harmonies and compositional challenge made the perfect subject. So, if you’re familiar with the park, I hope I did it justice. If you're not, I hope you'll go visit. Chilly day with fairly bright skies and temps in the 30s.
