I've been bug bitten, sun burnt, almost frozen, but this is the first time I've gotten sea sick while painting. In order to capture this image I had to set up on a small dock that extended into this frozen section of the lake. Everytime I moved the dock would move and before long I started to feel a bit queasy. Oil and water really don't mix - especially on a full stomach. The painting turned out much better than I did. Overcast day with temps in the 30s.
