A good name for this painting would be "88 Percent" because that's how much of the waning moon was visible and how much feeling was left in my numbing hands on this chilly, 20 degree winter morning. By the time the last stoke was applied and cleanup began, my fingers were stinging. It was curious to me that I felt so chilled, even though I've painted in much colder and harsher weather. I guess it's just another one of those mysterious moon phenomena.
