The structure that supports this train trestle was what fascinated and frustrated me most about this scene. The patterns were repetitious in basic form but they receded in size and many overlapped each other. After an hour of just trying to visually understand what went where I caught myself uttering the Little Engine's famous phrase, "I think I can paint this." And like the Little Engine's story, this painting also finished happily. Bright day with temps in the 30s to 40s.
