Even though I was set up only a few hundred yards from a parking lot, the first hour of painting felt as if I was the first and only person to have ever ventured onto this frozen tundra. The only prints were mine, the only sound was the wind and the only movement came from the blown grasses. By 10:30 I could hear traffic, by 10:45 the snow plow arrived and started clearing the lot. Civilization had arrived and my solitude had vanished. It was nice while it lasted. Overcast with temps in the 20s to low 30s.
