This was another one of those days when everything was perfect except for my ability to paint. After three paintings and three wipe downs I decided to take a walk. I'd only walked about 100 yards when I came across this deer trail and bed. Inspiration hit. I set up my easel and got to work with brushes and paper towels. In fact, I used more paper towels than brushes on this painting. Finding the right scene and using the right tools truly made it a perfect day.
