I tried to paint these rolls earlier in the day-twice. Both times the paintings were almost completed but I just didn't care for them and so they were wiped down and the canvas saved. After a few hours break from the hay bales, I returned to give them one more try. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Nice warm day with lots of sun and temperatures in the low 70s.
