Sunday, June 14, 2009 (9:30 - 2:30) Forest Park, St. Louis, MO no longer available
One thing that makes painting the water channels around Forest Park so enjoyable is watching the abundance of water fowl that live there. During my short breaks sitting along its bank, I met and fed a small group of mallards and a family of nine woodducks. As I watched a pair of red wing blackbirds feed their chicks a white egret flew over and joined us. He stalked the waters edge, plunged down his head and came up with a fish. It was a good afternoon.
