This painting was flying along. The sky was completed, most of the foreground was well on its way, then the painting came to a screeching halt. That small embankment reared its difficult head. I must have repainted that small spot more than a dozen times. At least an hour and a half was wasted on it. With time running out, I took my largest brush, threw down some big strokes and "wow" that's all it needed—just some simplification. Windy and temps in the mid 60s.
