On this overcast, cloudy, windy, 55 degree and sometimes rainy day, these reeds held a sense of subtle beauty that I needed to capture. There weren't any big highlights, heavy contrasts or overly bright colors, just subtle shifts in tone, value and colors that created a nice, soft whisper. The brighter bits of reflecting light and bubbles that swirled in the water, supplied just the right amount of accent. Hopefully I was able to do the little scene justice without overworking it.
