Sunday, March 28, 2009 (10:00 - 12:15) Shaw Nature Reserve, MO no longer available

We'd planned on painting daffodils and magnolia trees, but nature decided we would paint snow. It was a pleasant surprise that covered all the daffodils, except those that were sheltered under the pine tree. The lightness of the snow contrasting against the dark greens and spots of bright yellows created a very attractive scene. As the overcast sky began to clear so did the snow, and by the time I'd finished the only accumulation left was found in my painting. Temps in the 30s to 50s.
